Privacy
Written plainly, and accurate to what this site actually does.
What we collect
- When you order: your name, email and postal address, passed to us by PayPal so we can send your parcel.
- When you enquire: whatever you type into the form, including any photographs you choose to attach.
- Automatically: standard web server logs, which include IP addresses, kept briefly for security.
What we do not collect
- We never see your card details. Payment happens on PayPal's systems; we only receive confirmation that it succeeded.
- No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics, no cookies beyond the one that keeps your session working.
- We do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone.
Cookies
One essential cookie keeps your session working during checkout. There are no advertising or tracking cookies on this site.
How long we keep things
- Order records: seven years, because tax rules require it.
- Enquiries: three years, so we can refer back if you order again.
- Photographs you send: deleted on request, otherwise kept with the enquiry.
Hair and ashes
Anything irreplaceable you post to us is logged on arrival and stored labelled and separately from other commissions. Whatever is not used comes back to you with the finished piece, along with a written note of exactly what was used. We do not photograph or share these materials without asking you first.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@claycontour.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will keep order records where tax law requires, and will tell you if that applies.
Who else is involved
- PayPal processes payments and has its own privacy policy.
- Our web host stores the site and its database.
- Postal carriers receive the address on your parcel.
